A Night Out in Getsemani

Not long ago I introduced you all to one  of the most charming parts of Cartagena.  That was in the daytime.  But at night, it’s another creature entirely.  Here is glimpse of a Thursday night out in Getsemaní.

As the sun sets over the sea, we leave our home in the center of the old walled city. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful street I will ever live on.

We watch our friends perform at Ciudad Movil, a cultural center that supports local and visiting artists of all kinds (and serves really good pizza).

Isn’t she beautiful?

We enjoy some drinks and pizzas with loved ones while listening to the music.

The crowd leaves Ciudad Movil and takes a stroll through the lamp-lit streets.

We pass Saint Roque, one of the most charming bars in Getsemani.

We stop for a drink on the way home.

We quietly peek into some of the gated homes and hotels.

As we make our way back home tipsy with laughter, the city begins to fall asleep and yet another horse-and-carriage trots by.

  1. What a beautifully crafted post Meghan! It looks so beautiful there and so insanely romantic. Thanks for helping me fall in love with Columbia through your photos. I always look forward to reading your posts and following your journey!
